About the event
Developing long-term global policies
The Temporary Thought Collective has been active since 2012. This Autumn we will combine the analogue meet up, soup and walk, with a virtual session in the following week to allow more to join. When you sign up we will send you a zoom link.
Thinking longterm is a challenge and yet humans are probably unique in how we have developed the concept of ‘future’ as a negotiating tool. But how do we use this in the best way beyond our personal strategies? This Thought Collective is based on an interview with the French economist Laurence Tubiana. Since the Tokyo accords Laurence Tubiana has been part of the policy process dealing with global climate crisis and she has not given up. In the talk with the editor of the Danish newspaper Information Rune Lykkeberg she describes her work and how an understanding of bottom-up stakeholder engagement (may) have pushed some of the power games in the process.
